Include your iPad model and iPadOS version — Settings › General › About — and what you were doing. That usually saves a round trip.
Common questions
I paid before and reinstalled. How do I get everything back?
Open the unlock screen and tap Restore purchases. The unlock is tied to your Apple ID, so it comes back on any iPad signed in to the same account, at no extra cost.
What does the free version include?
Two instruments — Grand Concert and Chamber Strings — six synths, two slots, the hall reverb and one scene of your own. No time limit and no watermark. A single purchase opens everything else.
Where do my samples and recordings live?
On the iPad, in Files › On My iPad › Starnight Keys. They are ordinary audio files: copy them out, back them up or delete them from there. When importing, pick the file from somewhere other than that same Samples folder, or the app adds a numeric suffix to the name.
My MIDI keyboard is not playing anything.
Check Settings › MIDI inside the app: the device should be listed and the indicator in the header lit. USB controllers connect through a powered hub or a camera adapter; wireless ones through Bluetooth MIDI in that same panel. If the device is listed but a knob does nothing, use MIDI Learn: touch the parameter, then move the control.
The multisample recorder shows no input level.
Grant the microphone permission when the recorder asks, and check the Input panel: it names the device it is listening to and how many channels it has. With a USB interface, connect it before opening the recorder. Use Measure the room to set the noise floor, and aim for the loudest note near −6 dB without clipping.
Does the app send anything over the internet?
No. There are no accounts, no servers and no analytics, and everything works offline. The privacy policy has the detail.

Reporting a bug
Send what happened, what you expected, and whether it repeats. Screenshots help more than descriptions — take one while the problem is on screen. If it involves a specific sound or recording, say which one; if it involves MIDI, say which controller.
